Weatherford Carports is where Springtown property owners start on a carport. Springtown sits north of Weatherford on TX-199, the highway that continues east to Azle and Fort Worth. The town is surrounded by rural acreage, and many properties have a stock trailer, tractor or hay that needs cover. Request a free quote and a local carport installer will call you back.
Acreage access and ground
On rural land, the first question is often whether a delivery truck can reach the spot. Long trusses and panels arrive on a trailer, so note gate widths, cattle guards, low branches and soft ground. A site that is easy to reach in August may be impassable after a wet week in spring.
Ground anchors suit dirt and gravel, but rocky soil can make them slow to drive. Ask the installer how they handle your ground, or plan a pad first.
City limits or county
Inside Springtown city limits, check with the City of Springtown about permits. Out in the county, building permits generally are not required, but check deed restrictions and whether the site is near a creek or in a floodplain before committing.
For tractors and hay, see farm equipment covers. For a cover attached to an existing barn, compare lean-to carports.
Frequently asked questions
Can a carport be installed in a pasture?
Yes, if the site is fairly level and reachable by the delivery truck. Ground anchors hold the legs in dirt.
